Don't try to give it a chance. Its not worth the time \/ effort. This game is really hardcore, and very fun. I would try it for a bit, and see how you like it. I have over 1000 hours on the game, and I really love our community here. I hope mega alliances get fixed though. It would help it a lot.. The game is in a deplorable state, the community is toxic as hell, people spamming the chat to make people lag, people EVERYWHERE I literally couldn't see anything in a town, almost no ressources available after T4 because so much people are farming them.Free-to-play killed it. I played this game more than a bit before I got it on steam and picked it back up once I saw it was on here.Turns out a sandbox is actually really boring if it's ONLY sandRelying exclusively on your players to guild up and make your game interesting is terrible for the longevity of these types of games because wow if one thousand people pick it up separately and the solo content is so bad that no one sticks around to make a guild suddenly your game has no content. Yes I know you want to be EVE but everyone forgets that EVE actually has solo content for people starting out and that just because it worked for EVE that's been around forever does not mean it will work for you when you launch yesterday.This is not Planetside 2 where you can jump in anywhere at anytime and shoot different colored guys to make progress and have fun this is an actual MMO where I have to spend hours mining shiny rocks to make progress towards mining shinier rocks with no feedback from the game I'm playing.I would like this game to be fun, it reminds me of Runescape in a lot of good ways. I enjoy the simplicity of it, I enjoy the classless system, and I enjoy that anyone can grind enough and become a master of everything, but unlike Runescape this game gives me no world to enjoy and consequently no reason to spend the time it takes to grind until I get good.I'll be back when this game has good solo content and I'll be back when that lore in the website shows up in the game and gives me a world worth investing my time into.Do not rely on players to "write their own story".. Truly an MMO sandbox. Player driven economy, full loot PVP zones. The only MMO since Ultima Online that truly gives you a rush in pvp.. If you have friends, this game will probably be amazing. If you don't have friends and decide to go the route of fisherman, then all you will have to look forward to is the constant fear and pressure that you will get ganked and have all of your rare goods stolen. Then, you will have to spend the good half of two to three hours if you are lucky gathering stone (or whatever other resource you choose), refine the stone, and then sell that just so you can get back the money that went into your gear and mount. Then, you go fishing again thinking you've learned from the last time and get ganked and lose everything again. Rinse and repeat.
